NEW YORK CITY: FASHION DIARY

New York has such a strong personality; you feel it always, especially walking through the streets.

Soho famous for its fashion, was on my list. Particularly Kirna Zibeto! I had first come across the brand when reading an article about stylist Erin Walsh’s favourite places to source garments for her clients. The brand has multiple stores across NYE but SOHO was the one I sought out. The key difference between Kirna Zebete and other clothing stores is they house both up and coming designers and iconic fashion houses. It’s a real mix of the new and vintage. I walked into the boutique wearing a bright orange windbreaker jacket I thrifted the previous week at Melrose markets in west LA.  

At first the employees seemed a little stand-offish, once we got to talking with them they completely relaxed. They loved my jacket. Phew! Here is me looking through the store. If baggage restrictions weren’t a thing, a would have brought home a lot more!

Never underestimate the power of Aussie friendliness overseas!
